Choke cable repair

just repaired mine quite simple the two steel iner wires were all twisted together and fraied but the outers were fine a new choke cable on eBay was £85.
I bought 5m of medical grade 1mm stainless steel rope from eBay £4.30. cut the old wire from the metal pull rod and drilled out the remaining wire before soldereding in the new wires. Note... Inset the new wire into the outer sleeves before soldering the wires to the rod.
Refit to car.

Hi ive just replaced my choke cable from James paddock, drilled hole , then self tapped to size of grub screw and went in nice and secure. So far working ok, am keeping spare universal in boot just in case if a problem.
