    Max,

My wife,Janet and I had a chat to you at the Le Mans campsite. Don't know if you remember us ( 15TAG). I must say that your car was awesome around that track. You scared the living daylights out of me. Fantastic motor car.

There were quite a few modified Stag including a fuel injected one, 4X4 Stag and the blue one with a Chevy 5.7L engine in it. Then there were quite a few Rover engined Stag's and Monstags beautiful Monarch Stag.

It was a shame you couldn't make it.

              Hi Shaun,

Yes, we took your advice and posted a reminder to modified Stag owners to exhibit at the ND. It worked well. Stu has filled you in on who was their. Janet's job was to look after the trohy side of things and she was concerned about the Modified Stag turn out. But it all worked out well. Thanks for your input.

If I knew how to post pics I have few Classic Le Mans photos. I think there might have been 20 to 30 Stags attending this years event. Not bad considering that the Stag is ineligible to compete since it was never officially entered into the 24 hr event. Still, there were TR3s, TR4s and a Triumph entered Spitfire. I've been to the last 3 Classic events and two 24 Hour events. The classic is now the only one to attend for nuts like us! I believe the 24 Hour is now dominated by Audis and diesels. It was the 1st time for some attendees to the Classic and all said the only Le Mans for them now is the Classic. Although its 2 years away one must be aware of the difficulty of accomadation in the area ( up to 60+ km radius ), unless you are camping when the TSSC site is ideal. Dont leave things too late!

I have spoken to a few influential folks at our club and I think there is a good possibility that there may be some interest in organising a Stag involvement in the next trip. NoI'm not volunteering for anything.

              Robert
