    Most powerful Stag?

Hi, Just out of interest anyone know of the most powerful Triumph Stag on the road today? What engine does it have and what is the power output? I once heard that Brighton Stags had the most powerful but I am sure there must be somevery high powered ones around these days especially with some of the light weight V8swith new technology. Spin.

There was a heavitly modified Stag on here a while back but all of the images were links to ebay and are no longer active. The Name Richard Lane seems to crop up frequently for mega high powered Stags. This was the best I could find - it is a small pic on the bottom left hand side of the page: http://www.broquet.co.uk/picture_gallery.htm . It states 585 BHP Chevy V8. Is that quick enough for you?

    Regards

    Dave H

What's left of Richard Lane's website appears to be here:

He worked on my Stag back in 2004. A truly fascinating guy to spend a few hours with!

Cant understand why he changed the headlights to single square ones in some pictures and single round ones in others, changes the whole look of the car.

I *think* the car actually had four round lights, rather than two - the inner two were covered by the new grille he made up, much like the BMW 2002.

I really can't explain the square ones though

I thinkRichard LanesStag had an older small block cast iron chevy motor. It is a wonder no one has yet put the new all alloy 5.7LLS1 chevy in a stag. Would potentially get more than 585BHP! But hey even 300BHP would be nice Spin

Hmm.. if that fits.. then the 6.0 out of the Monaro would also fit...

How good's that BMW rearend again?
