steering column bolt removal

    I wrote a little item on adjusting the column bolt a couple of months ago, no time to look it up now as I'm whacked (long day) but you'll find it against my username. There are pictures. Perhaps it was logically titled 'Steering Coulumn Adjustment' or similar, but there's no guarantee of that, as its me....

    I remember from last year's column removal and rotation (another story!) that there is a little pin that stops the bolt coming right out even with the nut fully removed. If anyone needs chapter and verse on it, including a pic, I'll do it tomorrow, just shout up.

        Thank you all I now have the column free (It was the pin, allmost invisible with the s&#t in there)

        While out of the way I've removed the gauges as the night lights are real dim. All I have to do is clean the insides and replace the bulbs. So now it's a choice on what illumination to use.
