bonnet Strut

    The struts that I used came off a Citroen C4 ( 51 reg I think) bonnet. I had to redo the mountings and make new ones to fit my application, the max length between mounting centers is 490mm. I made up the mounting brackets to fit the original holes in the stag bodywork.( I dont like drilling any extra holes in the bodywork)

      If I have understood correctly, you are suggesting threading the shiny steel rod which is extremely hard metal. If you did manage to thread it, the theads would tear up the seals inside the strut when compressed.
      Apart from this a good idea.

          Could have explained it better. I meant the existing strut. I said it out of memory as my Stag is in storage. having looked at the Rimmers website I do not think that it would work.
