Hi Koy 23,
Flattered as I am to be my wife (Sue) I'm am Andy, the greasy rag & hubbie, and was obviously clearly mistaken to think that the original poster, Apples 24 in post #1, with the images of 2 plates from his/her stag and asked where they lived on his/her stag. So I only suggested to him/her that, in my opinion, the originals would be better than new (probably shiney) copies with the letters/numbers accurately stamped or engraved on the new plates.
And in answer to your question if you don't have the originals then I guess copies is the only way to go.
All this is just my opinion, to be sure

Nothing wrong with that!
I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!
What are you lot like........Those tags have no legal standing at all. They are not a chassis no., or anything like it. SO NO its not "ringing" anything. Its just nice for him to restore the car as near as pos.
Anyway.... the numbers are 6mm high. Hope that helps ya
Exactly; mine were missing so I installed a set from a scraper. Doubt anyone will a)notice b)care c)give a f**k
