Two days of painting and tidying up now. Still,it will all look nice and shiny( underneath ) to go go with my new AVO adjustable shockers!
To think, all this started with an oil leak!

my restoration started with a small hole in the floor!
Small update on the rear end overhaul.
When i took the diff rear mounting plate off, i found a large amount aluminium corrosion on the diff rear cover plate, enough to distort the carrier(about3 to 4 millimeter) . This could put extra pressure on the rear mounts, causing vibration or road noise to be transmitted into the bodywork. Just thought it might be relivant for people to look at in case of problem noises that cant be found. Probably caused by dissimilar metals comming into contact with each other. Make sure it is painted before assembley!
