Chinese Alloy radiator?

I'm fortunate to run two dehumidifiers at home so I have an adequate supply of distilled water! The plain water will only be in the system until I get the car to the garage and flush it out, re-torque the heads and maybe have the radiator rebuilt. In the meantime, I'm using the bus to get to work.

Brizzle water is awful stuff, riddled with calcium and totally unsuitable for precision cooling applications.

everything in China is made to a cost. you dont want to spend the money then they make an inferior product etc etc
Confusius could have written volumes on us lot wasting good money after bad by trying to save a penny.

Everything everywhere is made to a cost these day's... usually lowest cost possible,, quality? what that.

It's just that in western countries, if there's a problem, the company will/can be liable.. our courts..
In China, their Government will not do anything to hold the parties responsible.
so there's no need for quality control,,,

Anyway that's the way I see it.

I bought 5 litres of deionised water @ ~£4.50 from a local car parts factor - thought it was a bit steep, but carriage is probably a big part of the cost. I've since had a word with our window cleaner, who has his own de-ionising unit (most seem to these days). He wants to give it me for free - just need to get hold of some containers now.

4.50 probably isn't that bad for 5 litres of the stuff. However a window cleaner who has the 0 per million parts gubbins would be a useful chap to know
