Have a look at the spindle seals and the seals on the temperature compensators. If they are at all hard, crumbly or missing, it's a good clue as to the general condition. If you find anything amiss, then you need to rebuild the carburetters.
I would certainly fit new rubber diaphragms as well after 10 years, as they are bound to be perished. Strombergs are reliable things, and when cleaned and properly set up, should give years of service..

Well, OK, maybe not quite what I once was but.... , I don't think I'd improve much from a full service - not any more... .
And you think you're confused.
However, I reckon they (Stromberg's) would benefit from a bit of tlc, Apples.
