SO what did you you do with your Stag today?

Took my stag up to Shaun at Ms tune. Had the map tweaked for my new larger exhaust. 3 hour drive up, 2 hour driving around mapping, 3 hour drive back. The mapping involves some intense wot driving and it returned 30mpg, very happy.

Re fitted water pump cover and inlet manifold, fill with coolant tomorrow and hope I've cured the leak!

Dad. Shaun is great, he came down to me originally but I followed Richard Lane up there when he took his TVR to have i Megasquirted. Didn't know Lincolnshire was so far away! The TVR was running very rich and acted like a flamethrower with its American EFI.
There are so many adjustments on the Megasquirt, tuning is not for the faint hearted.

I know my limitations John, shaun has done in 2 hours what it would take me months to learn and try and achieve. Yes he is a top bloke and cheap.

ive also done an oil and filter change so some fresh VR1 is in it now (obviously in the engine not the radiator)

Took the green machine to a local body shop to get an estimate to sort out the bubbling at the bottom of the drivers door. Told it will need new skin. Potentially some problem on kerbside but might be salvageable. Estimated price up to the price of that 4 speed auto box. Bummer.
However enjoyed a 10 mile trip around Poole and Bournemouth.

Build a windbreaker today. I copied the bosscreen design and used the hardtop fasteners. It works great. Only the vinyl is not the exact colour. But good enough for me.

Got the V8 that RichardtheStag helped me fit going nicely. Now just need to sort the engine bay out so it looks neat and tidy, and CLEAN!! Oh and replace the clutch slave as it won't bleed, oh and replace a brake cylinder, oh and a couple of other things but IT LIVES https://youtu.be/o-HgkeQ3wu8

Took my Stag to the Stratford Festival of Motoring.

Went to take the Stag to the Cock & Bottle at East Morden near Bere Regis this evening. Then the heavens opened with hailstones and heavy rain. So cancelled the trip out. The car has just been cleaned by my wife anyway.
