Phil I didn't know they did the Stag in Emerald Green as a standard colour?. I like the colour as I owned an Emerald Green Mk4 Spitfire back in 1972. Only thing is they say "green" coloured cars are unlucky, and in our case it turned out to be true as that Spitfire was hit twice and written off the 2nd time, and my wife had a green Nissan Bluebird that was also in an accident and written off.Originally posted by PhilB View Post

Painted these. Not perfect but a deal better than the ones in-situ. 3 coats of primer and 3 of Ford Strato silver.

Went over to the 'wrong' side of the Pennines yesterday, to explore along the Morecambe Bay coast around Silverdale and Arnside area. A very nice part of the world but clearly strolling on the sands is to be avoided (dire warnings of flood tides, quick sand etc). 150+ trouble-free and enjoyable miles. This after quite a period of upgrade work (gearbox, half shafts, o/d etc) and annoying stuff (new battery, choke cable, carb seals etc). Enjoying my Stag again in full!

Drove from Toulouse to Le Tranche Sur Mer, about 300 miles. Clocked up 1760 miles on this trip with about another 400 until home
