When't for a run on Anglesea today entered over the Stephenson bridge and left over the Telford bridge, parked up in a lay-by between the two bridges.
Set me off thinking of the last time i was there 1982 in my Opel manta, wish i still had that they fetch a pretty penny now.

Chris - I thought the Opel Manta was a lovely looking car, I knew someone who had one when I lived in Glan Conwy, but never got to drive it.
See very few around these days, and if I saw one for sale I would definately be interested.

Like you, I used to regularly visit "Ynys Mon" (to give Angelsey it's Welsh name), a lovely Island and the departure point (Holyhead) for the Ferry to to Dublin.
I will never forget the great taste of a "real" pint of Guiness served in a Dublin Bar - best Guiiness I have ever tasted anywhere in the World.

When I was Computer Manager for Aberconwy Borough Council, used to regularly travel to Llangefni on Ynys Mon to meet with the Computer Manager there when North Wales Computer Managers would have there monthly meetings (which was really just an excuse for a good few drinks of the local beer afterwards).

If only North Wales had the weather we get in Tenerife, I would never have left.

In two weeks time I’ll be starting the CT Coast-to-Coast for Drive It day from Holyhead. 400 miles overnight to finish in Southwold, Suffolk for breakfast. 60 Triumphs are entered.

That will be quite a sight as you leave Anglesea take it you will be traveling over the Stephenson Britannia bridge. will do a recce and see if there's a good vantage point to film you lot on the bridge as you leave.
What time are you due to depart Holyhead roughly.

Gave it a dame good thrashing to see what it was like after fitting a new pair of lambda sensors. Still grinning

We get a couple of laps of the racing circuit at Ty Croes then head to Holyhead for the 'official' start at 7pm, so I wouldn't expect any cars before about 19:20HRS over the bridge.
                  Five Stags are entered.....

Polished some interior and cleared out the glovebox, Dad left me quite a few bits that made me smile. Pity that he didn't keep the whole set of tax discs since 1977 but it's not a bad collection, I think i'll pop the 1983 one back on for a bit of a more period look!

Some of you may enjoy the 2007 road test article too, if the text isn't clear in the attachment, you can find it here https://www.dropbox.com/s/wb24csc69a...00.46.jpg?dl=0

I installed the wheel sensor onto the N/S brake disc guard, routed the wire up into the glovebox, then installed the clocks for the plot-and-bash next weekend.

Your car is looking more and more like a Rallye car, and is that a Coffee making machine on top of the dash - I prefer Tea myself!?

                                It's a magnified map light, a Poti.

Wait till I get loose with the 1/4" ally plate to make a sump guard. Road rallies only until then!
