Topped the carbs up with 20/50 ,checked oil level and condition , checked water level ,all fine before a run around the cotswolds with the TSSC club the weekend
I finally have a garage after moving . Lots planned inside it has two joining buildings with shower and toilet . A busy few months but already been out more than it being kept at my dad's .
Okay I am now suffering from a severe case of "garage envy"!!!!!!
Our Stag was subjected to today's torrentialĺ and prolonged rain whilst it spent the day in the factory carpark.
It remained dry inside apart from the rear seat squab which soaked up water when the gutter around the tonneau cover was overwhelmed by the downpour. The seat squab is now drying out in our house!
Back together again after rebuilding and refitting heater box, replacing centre console and replacing foam and cover of rear seat squab. Lid on ready for winter. Nice and warm.
Drove 100 miles in the rain on The Three Rivers tour around Gloucester and the Wye valley. Stopped at Tintern for a ‘comfort break’. Car faultless, weather less so.

I associate "squab" with the base, so where did you get the right shaped foam for the rear seat base then? I stupidly tossed my one on day one thinking it would be a easy part to purchase.. WRONG!
I actually drove mine! First time in about a month. Saw a TR4 or 4A or 5 (they all look the same to me) waved to him but he ignored me!
Years ago when I joined one of the Triumph Car Clubs down here in Melbourne one of the members told me that in the politically incorrect 70's they had a few punch ups in the club regarding allowing Stag owners to join, as many thought that the Stag was "not a real sports car and more of a hairdressers/Sheila's car"; for those that don't understand this 70's Australian terminology, the correct meaning would be - " this more luxurious, safer, expensive and practical vehicle is more of a Dandy's/ladies car". Fun times indeed.
Started the alternator relocation as phase 1 in a StagDad water pump conversion. Immediately hit a problem as the alternator fouls the hose from my StagWeber coolant tank. Now to find some alternative hoses that will run to a new spigot on the lower radiator tank, as I am changing the hose layout that comes with the StagWeber.
on Sunday I took my new to me Stag to it's first car show, The York Historic Vehicle Club, York Race course. There were 4 other Stags there including a Candy red one. Good show, good variety of cars / lorries / bikes and military. weather held out. About a 100 mile round trip. No problems.
