The paint is very flat and has some touch-ins on local scratches. It has the standard petrol perfume when you open the boot lid and has had the Lucas fuel pump replaced with Bosch unit.
There are a couple of tears in the drivers seat, can any one recommend the best place for seat covers and new foam squabs, I can do the work myself.

Piscean57 thanks, I like yours too. I call it purple, do you know the correct Triumph name for it?

I have the hardtop too, but not fitted it yet. The wind deflector behind the seats works brilliantly.Chris

it is called Magenta, but Ian has betrayed the faith and had his done in French Blue. You should contact Carl the webmaster on webmaster@stag.org.uk and let him know you've joined, and he'll convert you to full forum membership
As to welcome pack, it could be a couple of weeks depending on how busy they are

Yesterday evening fitted Grose valves in the carbs. Carbs removed, stripped, cleaned, rebuilt and back on the car in an hour after our evening meal. I had 'Viton-tipped' valves before, but recently they have been passing too much fuel when hot. Whilst the car was ticking over yesterday I could see, and smell, fuel streaming out of the overflow onto the ground. The garage proprietor wasn't best pleased......
No problems today..
Got them from here (cheapest I could find online): http://www.leacyclassics.com/gac9200x.htmlDave

Fitted Mota Lita Steering Wheel - Retirement gift from my generous work colleagues - Now I'll remember them every time I drive the car. Looks good and much more comfortable than the standard wheel which was a bit tired. - Really pleased with it.
Also re-fitted the Auto selector trim. It was misaligned and light shining in my eyes at night. Turned out the fixings had broken off and P O had used double-sided carpet tape to hold it down. In this heat glue was breaking down and the whole thing slipped sideways. Cleaned it all up and fixed it in place with silicone bath sealant - looks like it's going to be successful Took the opportunity to give the wood and the trim a really good clean - big improvement.

I've read quite a bit about mis-matched threads, but I am pleased to report that these screwed right in easily and just needed to be nipped up against the fibre washer supplied. So far, so good....Dave

It does seem very hit and miss with these Dave, there was no way the ones I purchased from Moss back in 2012 were going to fit without forcing them in at the risk of damaging the thread in the carb body.
I did some research if you remember http://socforum.com/forum/showthread...ght=grose+jets
Tempting fate but i'm still running on the original type needle valves. I do have a pair of Viton ones just in case but they have been in the hood well for few years now.
