Decided to remove planet gear backlash on my original 3.7 diff and refit it back in until I can rebuild 3.45 diff.

Now how do I find a 3.45 diff?

Used mine to travel to and from work. Spent part of the return journey wondering what the new strange noise was which is resonating from the rear of the car!

Trying to refit the dash panels after a leather re-trim - the leather is quite a bit thicker so some trimming of panels is required

OK - on topic - this weekend I must drop the starter from Buttercup, to give the main contacts a jolly good clean, and probably a jolly good talking to as well.

Not today however at the weekend i have to investigate a bad oil leak coming from the oil pump area. Look a proper pain to get to however she is bleeding oil all over the garage floor at the moment so it has to be done. terry

This thread inspired me this afternoon to go to the Toy Box, Garage, well over 6 weeks ago I put the bike and car to bed in the garage whilst I embarked on some major renovation work on the house. ()Took a wall out, dealt with a damp issue, complete re-plaster of extended room then fit a new kitchen To my surprise the bike started without being boosted as did the car, but that is always the case with the car. Took both for a short spin then went and had a couple of beers with my Son. Perfect

Thought about it, went into the garage, looked at it, decided against it, took a phone call that meant I had a look at someone else's Stag, and now have to change the front strut inserts on it tomorrow, then took the speedo out of an XK120 and the rev counter from a Alfa Giulietta and took them in the Vitesse to Alan the gauge shop for repair. Drank coffee and chatted with Alan, came home then cooked a chilli which is now simmering ready for tonight's prandial delight
