Hello Dave,

I am doing ok in most respects thanks, but still in daily pain / discomfort. It restricts my working a hell of a lot, and if I had any sort of physical job I wouldn't be employable.

Car is out of the paintshop next week and back to Paul at Stag Classics to have everything put together. Gone will be the RV8!

I drove mine to Princes Risborough and back - 200 miles, about 170 of it with the top down. Super day. Brought a recon differential and some door cards back too.

One problem, the new propshaft is dangerous - the smooth running makes the speedo over-read by about 25mph on the motorway!

Washed mine, checked levels and stuck some go juice in it ready for Brands tomorrow.

Had a fight with the iPod/Sony head unit - it seems the head unit is refusing to change anything but albums and not artists or playlists - a bit irritating but at least it plays at full volume now instead of cutting out.

Used it then to go and collect my carrier bag full of drugs from Boots, intended to keep me alive for the next two months

Drove from Fougeres to Ville Dieux des Poiles and back. Had great pleasure in opening up the throttle and ROARING past the bumblers in the rally. The roar of that V8 was just music as was the performance from 35 mph to 60 mph.
Also managed to find more fuel to top up. We need to get back Monday.

Yes Dartford toll is online now. I had to register the 2000 for it prior to the HCR last month.

I have just paid the charge, having never used the Dartford crossing before I assume you pay in advance?

Fitted 2, 3 1/2" speakers under the front speaker grille to improve the sound as the ones in the rear cubby holes are difficult to hear with the hood down and wind deflector up, bit of work with the tin snips (really should get a Dremel) very satisfied with the resulting sound.

Also fitted a inline non return valve to the screen washers near the jets to stop drain back and improve washer operation.
