Removed and cleaned park switch but could not straighten plastic park switch post which still stuck intermittently. Considered heating options to assit with straightening and eventually tried dribbling boiling water over post whilst straightening - worked a treat!

Having fully re-assemlbled and re- installed to car and connections - nothing?? After a lot of testing established that 12V was delivered to the wiper unit and more significantly at the fuse.

However after a bit of head scratching and evaluaton I concluded from the wiring diagram that as washer also did not work the general 12V supply was compromised.

What I found that was the fuse mounting was able to deliver 12V in an unloaded condition it would not deliver any significant current if a load was placed. (Surprising? Mislieadng etc.)

Cleaning fuse holder has solved most.

      Ian.
Jeff I put some Lucas additive when I got my auto it had done 400 miles in 4 years but the changing and take off were all over the place.

Checked the trans fluid and put the additive in, it took a few hundred mile but it certainly improved it and it is now as good as a BW 35 will be.

common problem in car electrics, which is why a headlamp bulb is much more useful than a test meter to find high resistance joints and short circuits.

Nearly there. Are you using the wiring loom from your test jig?
Yes John, I've wrapped it in the fabric type loom tape so looks a lot tidier now.

Yesterday afternoon once I got home from work I put the Stag over our pit to see if I could identify the source of the odd noise and vibration. I then took it out for two local test drives.

Took the kids to Karate today, fixed the leccy aerial, finished fitting the boot carpet, washed it and put some more Dynax S50 in various cavities.

Looked at remaking my passenger door card back board but couldn't be bothered!

                        Sorted my fuel pump today.
Original (say original, 30 year old Moprod electronic) has a crack in the plastic head so was spraying fuel out, not good.
Bought another (new old stock), and it wouldn't run with the voltage drop without the engine running...but you can't start your engine without fuel!
So made a good one between them, new body, old motor.
Tomorrow if time, change tubular exhaust manifold gaskets on near side due to blowing gasket.
Should then be good to go!
                        Mike.

Started out calibrating speedometer against sat nav. With stooligan Nasty vibration issues at 60 mph+ Repositioned rear hight of gearbox Checked drive shafts play detected new shafts required bit of a pain as mine are staked. Lucky that I purchased a pair of circliped drive shafts and hubs at the Norfolk national meet

                          Cheers Glenn

Tidied it up ready for the engine to go back in next week - what a day to miss for a drive out, absolutely beautiful weather, damn it!

Took mine out for little blast before watching Bristol Rovers with friends. Had a quick go over with the polish ready for Queens Square avenue car club meet held in Bristol every second Sunday of each month. Looking like a lovely day and hope to see a few faces in Bristol.

Changed the oil and filter. The gods were smiling - original type filter, and the old seal came out without a struggle, and when I put the new filter in, the bolt engaged first time!
