Later today I will be "hibernating" the Stag until we get back from our cruise the end of January.
Before doing so though I tried fitting one of the Stag logo wheel centres from the Accessories shop to my alloys,
and below is a picture of what it looks like.

I don't want to be picky Terry but it looks like someone has cut its back legs off On a more serious note it also looks by the picture that the centre of the alloy wheel is cracked in two places

They have got these on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-St...Jr6wQ1sPGEd2zA

      or these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-St...gUs9Kgu9hxpRUw

Stag now moved to it's temporary underground parking space home (in nearby Mirador complex) whilst we are away,
and battery key removed so battery doesn't drain as it is going to be left standing for a good month.

At present there are no other cars parked either side to damage it - lets hope it stays that way, and the only cars that can enter the car park are ones whose owners have a remote control device for the entrance and exit doors at either end.

Wife's recently re-sprayed 21 year old Honda Accord now moved to open air parking spot in Castle Harbour where Stag normally lives.

Graham - the Accessory shop sent the wrong size inserts (5.5cm instead of the 4cm ones), and the one you see is the 5.5cm one cut down (by me roughly with scissors) to fit until the replacements arrive which will then replace it (them) - hence the missing part of the back legs. No cracks in the alloys - just dirty marks ( I think) and some peeling in places as they have not been cleaned in a while. But thanks for pointing it out and I will have a closer look (at all 4 alloys) when I get back from our cruise. Got a last Quiz for a while to run tonight, then some final packing tomorrow, then we are off on Saturday morning - 1st to the U.K. to spend 3 days with family in Chester before flying down to Southampton to board our cruise ship. Will be flying the Stag "flag" on board as part of the time I will be wearing the new Stag logo Rugby short sleeved shirt and Stag logo sun hat when by the Pool which should be waiting for me at my son's house in Chester.

Not very security minded You have just put on a forum which can be accessed from anywhere in the world, how long you are going away for and where the car is parked and what you have done to disable it I would not put my trust in a remote controlled door either you just walk in behind a car going in and follow a car going out, or get a code reader. Oh you have also put a picture of the number of the bay its sitting in to make it easier to find. Too much information on a public forum in my opinion.

I wasn't trying to be nasty Terry, I was trying to point out the downfall of posting too much information on a public arena. God forbid if anything was to happen to the car while you are away for a month you would not even know it was gone let alone being able to report it missing. I would suspect your insurance company would not be very happy about it either. For me its just common sense. just the fact I'm sorry if you don't see it as being helpful.

Sorry Terry but Graham is right, let's hope that Tenerifians and visitors are honest, way too much information. Mods can this be edited? Terry as car is RWD, the rear legs should not be amputated, or maybe you have an extra layer of security that you have omitted to tell us?

Their right Terry, it just took me about 3 seconds to find the full postal address of where you have left it.

Finished painting the hardtop black yesterday. It will be going onto the car this evening once Keith (72Blue) is available to assist.

I spent half an hour this afternoon investigating why rain water was finding its way into the hood stowage well of our Stag. I discovered that the gutter drainpipe on the drivers side was blocked. A long piece of thin wire soon removed the blockage. A nice simple, free fix

                          Terry.
It's very easy to be lulled into a false sense of security, thinking that you are amongst a bunch of like minded mates. In fact you are on an open forum which any lowlife can and does access. I have seen cars at shows with heritage certificate on display listing key numbers, not that keys are a major barrier. There are strong rumours of tracking devices being stuck to cars to trace location, not necessary in your case though. We need to be aware of the risks and take the necessary precautions.

Exactly John, this is why if you were invited to come to the garage where I store my Stag I would insist on a Police style strip search to check you weren't concealing anything about your person
