Changed the under-bonnet fuel hoses to SAE J30 R9. Not sure what was original, as a PO had changed mine to something already, but they had used 5/16th all the way, so very loose on the carb connections. Mk1 Stag, so there is a single pipe all the way from the pump to halfway up the front bulkhead - I don't have the short rubber sections under the boot floor and the bottom of the front bulkhead (see previous threads such as http://socforum.com/forum/showthread...the-Stag-today). I used 5/16 hose from the feed pipe to the filter, and on to a 5/16th brass tee, then to 2 brass 5/16 - 1/4 reducers, then 1/4 hose to each carb.
I think the standard set up has a rubber reducer 153300 to adapt from 5/16 to 1/4, but I was nervous about the standards of current rubber parts, particularly with the emphasis on having the right grade of rubber for fuel hose to resist attack from ethanol.'72 Manual O/d Saffron Yellow

Gave it it's first run out since getting back from Holiday - no apparent problems.
When got back fitted the "muffler" to the mike in the rear bumper, which will
hopefully improve the sound on future recorded outings by limiting wind noise.
Parked near me where I went to play snooker was a new white Dodge Challenger, 1st one
I've seen in Tenerife, but seen quite a few Mustangs here, and which I read about on ship
as having a very poor safety rating!.
