    Fitted the radiator only to check my list to find I hadn’t torqued the fan crank bolt DOH out again then

            Washed the old girl off and removed the accumulated muck of a week or so away in Jersey. Stagatha performed well especially on the cross country run back home from Poole to Worcester on Tuesday - surprised one or two “dawdlers” as well!

            A couple of piccies;

                Changed the oil and filter ready for winter followed by a quick burn up to Baslow and back. No leaks. Next a wash & polish and then to bed except for warm dry and saltless days till next year

                  I did mine yesterday. It's been washed,waxed and all the chrome polished. It takes about 3/4 of an hour to remove each chrome wire wheel and apply the Solvol Autosol. Looks good but it makes your fingers sore when you keep banging them on the spokes as you polish

                  Her indoors has just broken her wrist so she's not up to being thrown around in the Stag so it may well be an early finish to this year's driving season but we've had a great summer so can't complain.

                    Gary, don’t think so, it was on the slipway at Rozel Bay, near the Hungry Man Cafe and Rozel Bay Tearoom. We had just partaken of Afternoon Tea - very refined don’t you know!

                      Drove to the Cotswold Airport Revival show, great weather, good show with planes coming and going. Several other Stags there.

                        Took the Stag shopping in Aldi, got some appreciative comments in the car park and no one asked me about overheating, is it a Rover engine etc for a change. Then spent the afternoon trying to work out why the electric aerial wouldn’t raise, after much fiddling it turned out to be a loose wire behind the radio.

                            Rebuilt and refitted the steering column after it had spat out the sliding column bushes and shims.

                            Then stickered her up ready for the RBRR starting on Friday. We are driving for Epilepsy Research UK, if you would like to donate to a good cause follow the link below.

                              Good luck with the RBRR; I will be helping out at the Pimperne stop on Sunday, so I hope to see you. I like the car in the background of your photo; Marina coupes weren't the best cars we can find from history, but they were the common cars of the 70's, and it so important that some are kept running for posterity.

                                Thanks davidf , there are two three man teams of Triumph and Marina owners on the RBRR. Yes there are rather less than 1,000 of all models on the road and probably twice as many on SORN. This one is waiting for it’s special engine after I blew it up.
