Hi guys, ordered one from j.paddock magnetic with washer, should be here tomorrow. The American site wasn't clear about shipping charges.
Thank you all,
Philippe
That isn't suitable for the Stag. Don't use it. The part number you need is 114774 as sold by J Paddock (and others) and listed under Stag => Engine => 114774 Sump Plug
A couple of wraps of PTFE tape and it will seal perfectly.

As stated by Mike (post 15) the thread in the sump is for sure damaged after receiving the wrong plug for many years before I owned the Stag. Could I maybe wrap some PTFE tape around the magnetic one? I quite like the idea of the magnet catching metallic particles to slowdown the ware and tare process,
Little update, fitted the magnetic sump plug from J.paddocks. No ptfe tape needed, perfect seal and getting the benefit of the magnet catching metallic particles.
Im not saying that some of you were wrong at all, as the NPTF taper dry seal is probably the one to use Screenshot_2016-08-02-17-03-49.jpg. However, after a few attempts in the UK, it had to be ordered from the States. The one from J.paddocks on the other hand is widely available in this country and does the job perfectly. 155660.jpg
