you would need 235x50x15 to fit those rims, they would then be more or less the same rolling parameter as a 185x70x14 to keep the same clearance from the front leg you would need ET 0 but you would have a poke of 50mm you could probably nick a bit from the space between the tyre and the leg but not much more than 10mm but you would still have a poke of 40mm so the tyres would be out past the wheel arches. So yes according to my calcs too wide

I agree with that, 7 is the limit without significant alteration to the arches

Just reading your post again, why did you need 15mm spacers with a ET30 wheel that would give you the same standard gap between the tyre ( 205) and the strut but pushed the wheel out 20mm With a 5mm spacer the tyre would be 10mm further in and 10mm further out, which I would have thought ideal. You wouldn't need anything on the back.

It needed 15mm to clear the strut.

And I don't get any rubbing on full lock. And the wheels are well inside the guards front and rear.

You must have different suspension or wider tyres than me, The ET on mine is 38 with 10mm spacers and 205 tyres I still have 10mm between the inside wall of the tyre and the suspension leg.

Without adapters I had an interference fit with an ET30. I have 15 x 7 inch wheels.

                      Wheel comparison.pdf

Attached is a comparison of what I had vs my new wheels. Old wheels had a few mm clearance. New wheels/tyres are 13mm closer to the strut.

OK looking at mine I can see that 205x65 profile tyres would catch on the leg where the bottom of the spring sits, my 205x60 sit under that by 8-9mm. Phew glad that's sorted thought I had a freak car for a moment.
