So how do you do the AND function or EXACT when searching?? I used to use quotes e.g. "5 start" and it searched exactly that, it does not work, the search always ignored (and still does) any words less that 4 letters which can be a pain.

I still have not found the page with my unread posts; nor can I find the page which dasadrew showed in post #101. Any advice?
Also, if I am on the page Forums > latest activity, when I read a post, and then use the back arrow of my browser, I don't get back to the same page; instead, it goes to Forums Directory.'72 Manual O/d Saffron Yellow

I'm not by any means a specialist but as nobody else answered.. Here's what I'm finding
There is no "unread posts" page (yet?)
If you click on HOME (just below the tabs at the top) you will see all of the "channels" e.g SOC Forum, For sale, non Stag etc. If there are any new posts within them will make them bold type and the little speech bubble will be Blue (instead of Grey)
If you click into a "channel" the unread posts will be at (or at least near) the top, they will be in bold type and will have a little double chevron in blue pointing down, way to the left of the thread, clicking that takes you to the last post in that thread that you have not read yet. All the way to the right of the thread is another double chevron pointing right that takes you to the very last post in that thread.
A point to note here is that only unread threads have that chevron on the left.
When you have finished you can go back to the channel and click on "Mark this channel read" found at the bottom of the page. Or you can go back to HOMEagain and click on "mark all channels read" which will reset everything so that next time you visit only the latest will be highlighted for you.
This means that you are having to go into each channel separately now, a bit more clicking but it works.

I can't recall there being an "unread posts" button or whatever even on the old forum. I feel sure I'd have noticed it since, if a thread had suddenly developed and there were 32 posts in it, then "View unread posts" would have filled pages of screens with all of the posts of all of the threads.
I feel sure that on the old and new forum the nearest thing that got /gets to it is "new topics" which will show you if a new topic (thread or post) has been created since your last visit. If 20 new posst have been made in a thread you had already looked at in the past, it will only show the title of that thread and not all new posts.

Drew,
There was an “unread posts” button on the old forum each time I visited, this was what I selected and then worked through the ones I wanted to then, if there were any left, selected “mark all read” (or similar).
Carl has contacted the technical support for this forum to find out why the “Today’s Posts” button disappears from the blue bar when you are logged in.
Meanwhile, I am happy just clicking on the Stag on the top bar, or “Home” and then selecting the section with the Header in Blue, which shows there are unread posts in that section.
