    Dave

Are you going to put sealant into the joint along the length of the gutter? When I removed the old paint from mine last weekend I discovered white sealant in there which came out when the piant stripper got hold of it.

    Regards

Hiya guys, if you look closely, you'll see that water from the A post gutter is meant to flow forwards behind the frontwing, and onto the bonnet slam panel, otherwise it runs behind the door seal and into the car. This was pointed out to me by an ancient pro body man.I've seen someresto'swith the channel behind the wing neatly filled in, goes to show it has to be a Stag man who does the work. Martin.

        Hi Bruce

I applied a top quality seam sealer to the windshield post (never sure if it is called the A or B post/pillar) . I then pulled the gutter into place with self tapping screws and allowed the seam sealer to squeeze out with the excess being removed with a thin blade.I then removed the screws one at a time and inserted the pop rivets. I used seam sealer as it will always stay flexible and it can be painted. The top and bottom of the gutter were tacked in place with a mig welder.

        Hope this helps

          Hi Dave

Here is,in part, the response from Graham at JP re the gutters that he sent me.

We have sold a couple of dozen Soctfl gutters compared to x100's of regular and have had no complaints on either.
I do know other suppliers stock a gutter that has received negative feedback in the
          past.

Graham has always responded to my concerns and treated me fairly and in future I will always request the best product from him.

A while backI bought an SOCTFL gutter and a non-SOCTFL gutter from Paddocks - I wasn't a glutton for punishment, but if I recall correctly, only one side was available at the time from SOCTFL.

Whilst I did not complain about the non-SOCTFL part (and Graham has been very helpful to me also, over the years) there is no doubt that the SOCTFL part is vastly superior and can be fitted without any fettling whatsoever. The non-SOCTFL part was nowhere near the same shape and whilst it could be made to do the job (but not replicate the shape of the SOCTFL part), it left me feeling that one side was inferior to the other.

If I had to do the job again, there's no question I'd go for the SOCTFL part.

              Hi Ray

Graham is asking for feedback with regards to these gutters as I am the first person to regester a complaint. Here is a portion of our further corrispondence.

              Thank you David
I would be very keen on some feedback on the SOCTFL gutters, either from you or someone you are connected to,so you could compare notes.
We would strongly advise people to pay more if we had some evidence to back up they were superior.

I think that it would be in the best interests of all Stag owners if you were to forward a copy of your post to Graham.

              Regards
