Funny how one job leads to another, i started off with just a service and fitting new power steering pipes, which then leadto a newrack and a suspension rebuildto sort out all my unwanted play in the steering, 2 months later and just about ready to rebuild.


Have you repainted the rear arms or did they justclean up well?

I took the easy way out - I painted the arms. They are in primer in the pics in my earlier post! Top coat is Halfords "Wheel and wheel trim paint" in silver. It looks pretty much like original.

The pics are misleading! The bench doesn't get much use as there is little DIY you can do in a rented flat. Technically I'm not really even allowed to put up a picture hook!

The threaded bar was bought for the job so it is new, there is little use for 46mm spanners so they stay clean. (I have never used them!) and the washers are the new ones I bought for the rebuild! As for the rest of my tools, they were so covered in $h!t after taking the suspension apart, I had to clean them anyway.
