Finally have some news regarding this years Classic car Meeting at Brands. It appears that the only date that Brands have offered is July 5th, which is also the date of the Festival of Speed at Goodwood. The sponsors of last years event have withdrawn as they prefer Goodwood as the return for them is higher. My contact who runs the promotion has also had to withdraw as they cannot compete with the Goodwood event, but they have given me another contact at Brands so that I might be able to have a deal direct.
I have been talking to them over the last couple of weeks and the best that I have managed so far is parking for Stags only, inside the circuit on the gravel in Colin Chapman Way. Colin Chapman Way is by the start/finish straight with a view directly at the paddock entrance, which is a good viewing spot. I have also enquired about the South Bank where we managed to park last year and am waiting for a reply. The cost at the moment is normal admission prices, but I am working on that too.
Brands have not listed it on the programme at the moment but it will known as the HSCC Superprix.
What are your views? will the Clackett Run be in full flow this year.
