Almost There

Hello all, I am only weeks away from completing my restoration. I am no professional and I have had quite a journey so far. I have a couple of things to sort which I need some advice with please.
First I have a problem with my choke cable getting hot, I think this means it is being used as an earth.
Secondly I have to bleed my braking system, I have seen a special tool made by some to help keep the valve central, should I attempt bleeding without this?
Any thoughts please.

1 Almost certainly a problem with the engine earthing strap. This is a braided strap which should be fitted from the offside wheel arch to one of the power steering mounting bolts.
2 i assume you are talking about the PDWA switch. Quite a few threads on here with ideas to lock it in its central position, or move it after bleeding.

I bled mine without issue, ignored the PDWA, all worked fine.
