Core plug weep - would Radweld or similar help?

Hi all, I have a small leak from one of the core plugs - one drop of water comes out every 10 seconds or so, hot or cold.
needless to say, its v hard to get at, so I was wondering if Radweld or similar would help, or be a complete disaster because it would gum up everything else?
Thx for any advice. Steve S

Sorry - it’s the head. Photo attached. Left bank, at rear.

It may be not what you want to hear, but I've just been through some serious cylinder head core plug woes; have a read here:

I have had "limited and very temporary" success on dealing with weeping coreplugs with liquid metal/areldite / what ever I have on the shelf. Cooling system need to be not dripping when effecting the bodge / very short term fix.

fill the core plug with gloop, let dry. really though core plug replacement is the only fix. PLUS if one has gone then all the other will be not far behind

Looks like it is corroded through from the inside. I would replace them. The ones on the exhaust manifold side of each head can be done with out removing the heads - quite quick and easy to do. Look at this thread from a few years back - posts #21 to #25. Although the pics show removal of the old core plugs on heads removed from the car I did do this on my heads whilst they were still on the car - just harder to take pictures of. Read and look at the pics on post #25 which shows how to use a crowbar to press the new core plugs back in.

              Steve,

Better to replace it soon at a time and place of your choosing that later in the year when it fails and you really need to keep driving.

Alan - good point, well made. And Roger, I think I agree with you too - stop Hoping for a quick fix,and sort it out. I must say, I only thought to look at a picture of the plug for this thread, and I agree, it looks knackered.

Thank ypu both, and the other replies. Marshman, I had read your thread earlier - forgot i had seem it! Oh the joys...!

stag has another problem now - new thread to follow.
