Nigel, Peter,Mike , this would need to be pushed out at the N&N,s by the coordinators as well, as you have said, only a few members use the forum from each area, in Norfolk I would say that, 6or8 use it , out of 90 ish record member's, but you would know better than I Peter.

As I said this should be offered to the whole club, not just forum users, I think it a excellent idea to get the feeling of members attending N & N's.

Perhaps any co-ordinators who use the forum could ask for non binding opinions while the principles of the scheme are examined, who is able to reach all of them ??

Hi Nigel & Mike,

Can I suggest that you send the area coordinators an email outlining your idea (you’ll find the email addresses in the magazine), perhaps including a sample survey, and ask them for feedback from their area members.

If you get some positive responses then there’s a chance of it getting traction among all members. As Peter suggested the only way to get anything done that’s not already planned is to take ownership of the project yourself. I wouldn’t rely on someone picking up the baton based on a discussion here, so if you really want to give this a shot then you need to do the groundwork and if it looks promising there will no doubt more people volunteering to make this happen.

Should you receive sufficient feedback from a few area coordinators I’d be happy to support you with a bigger survey rollout and putting the case to the Committee for their consideration (if needed).

I spoke with one of the "good guys" last night and he gave me the impression that this is an uphill battle with a large section of comm's, much as Peter has indicated and so, I think Joakim your idea is probably a good one.

I'll try and put something together over the weekend and "send to all"....

Thanks Mike, the Good Guy may be right 102 views, 14 votes, I have added a further question, "I do NOT want a Supplier Lis", I did not want to put that on originally but with so many views and 14% conversion to votes it will be interesting.
Review next week how it is going (or not ) I may get a look in over the weekend.

Sadly not in the Stag, off for a weekend with my daughter, her husband and the grandchildren, that'll cost an arm and a leg.

On the ‘SOC Club Business’ Forum a ‘Suppliers Recommendations’ thread has been opened to gauge the appetite for a possible ‘Supplier’ index.
This is healthy and potentially productive exercise, and once complete, a proposal may be presented to the committee for appraisal.
