What has happened to this forum

I have got used to the day to day of the new version but agree that the search function is lacking. The only thing I miss is the "new posts" button, Same functionality has more clicks now but that's life.. I only ever needed Office 2000 but they insist on making it more complicated!!

Searching-- Quotes no longer work, Boolean functions do not work you cannot search by user .. these worked on the old version.

googling it, this appears to be common with this version but there may be a fix??

This is a problem commented/complained about on many forums that use VBulletin - it is not unique to the SOC forum. One solution is this:

That's not a bad idea! Probably not ideal but certainly seems like an improvement on the current search function. I have sent a PM to Brian asking him to look into it when he's got a chance, so let's see what he might find out about this alternative.
