Toque setting for coolant drain plugs in the block

I have just drained and flushed the engine, and on consulting the ROM cannot find a torque figure for the 2 drain plugs in the block. Does anyone know if it is specified somewhere, or what it should be? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Richard. They came out with very little force, so I suspect that you are correct. They look brass, but with the naked eye, I can not see a taper.

I think mine have fibre washers and I did them hand right so probably no more than 20 ft lbs

Not very tight Nigel. Get some fibre washers from a diy store, I also put some PTFE tape on mine. Just nip them up.

I used to get a weep from the washers, so I fitted Dowty seals.
