If Your eurobox is 2002 you won't be paying the higher rate of tax. This was for cars registered after late march 2006. It'll be about £215.

Having said that no one should have to pay for a tax disc. It should be funded in usage, ie petrol prices. The more you use the roads and pollute, the more you pay. Unfortunately any government wouldn't be able to do this fairly. (remember the poll tax, brilliant idea executed in the worst possible way.)

Another petition that will go unlistened to:

"When vat was reduced to 15% in January '09 your chancellor levied an extra 2p per litre of fuel, to compensate for the loss of revenue from the vat reduction, now that vat has now gone back to 17.5% we think it only fair that you reduce the the duty again by the same amount, ie 2p per litre."

I also think that with this cost of car tax bear in mind the cost of living has gone up over the last 10 years but most peoples wages don`t..

you will see and asterix which says

* Band K includes cars that have a CO2 figure over 225g/km but were registered before 23 March 2006



so any cars registered before then only pays band k and no more. My Discovery 3 was registered 2 weeks before this. ( Yesssssss.... there is a god )

Ahh OK thanks makes sense now; I'll put the false plates away for now. Now what do I spend the difference on?
