Good question, pretty sure the european version doesn't have any, or certainly not at the levels needed, see my post #6 earlier in this thread. I and others have contacted their technical department and asked exactly that question and although they politely replied, they did not answer the question. The formulation sold in the USA quotes ZDDP at 1400ppm, but as I said this is a different oil to the one sold in the EU.

It’s the zinc content in the ZDDP which is important, it should be specified in the same way as on the Classic Oils container...Zinc content 1300 ppm in ZDDP ( which is the way it had been shown or described in the preceding 50 years).

You’ll find it very difficult to establish a Zinc number for VR1 sold in Europe, they will however supply a spec sheet showing heroic levels of Zinc ( right at the top extreme where any more may cause damage) in the US and Canada... if you can crack the code and get the spec sheet... with the overrider at the bottom... like this

and Opie oils sell their VR1 with this as a specification
      • Specifications
      • API SL
      • Ford M2C-153E
      • ACEA A3/B4
      • GM 6094M
Which I believe is the European standard oil mix, difficult to confirm, because they want it to be.

Yep, the real "smoking gun" is the claim …"suitable for road going vehicles" that means it doesn't screw up road car catalysts which is what the zinc in ZDDP does...ergo no or very little levels of Zinc in ZDDP contained...otherwise they'd say so.
