    Fuel sender resistances needed

I know someone here did some detailed experiments with his fuel sender and took resistance measurements. I found it once, but can't find it now. When the sender is in the full position, what is the resistance across the terminals? I have 2 Smith senders, one reads about 25 ohms the other reads 16 ohms. The one reading 25 shows a gauge reading of 2/3 full. The one reading 16 ohms, shows a reading just below F. I can't bend the full stop tab anymore.
My gauge was calibrated. the only thing left is the voltage stabilizer. (I did a controlled experiments months back with voltage stabilizers. For those of you with a full tank of fuel, does the needle read way over F?

I also found my resistance wire in the sender unit had slipped down from where it should be, so was causing my massive under-reading error. I guess the resistance is non-linear due to the heating requirement of the bi-metal element in the gauge, whereby current would need to square to maintain linear heating?
    Just a thought.

from an old thread. Don't know if they are correct or not but look "sensible" to me.

Thanks. I'll us the sender which reads 16 ohms for now.

Its an aftermarket one so take the values with a ..Mehhh

Full, 20 ohms but I got it down as far as 5 ohms by bending the tab
Empty, it went to 200ohms then about 1/4" from the stop it goes open cct.

The "fuel lamp" contact goes to 0.5 ohms AFTER the end of the resistor track - that seems wrong..
