I have fitted an after market AC system to my Rover V8 stag using a revo fan in front of condenser which sits in front of standard stag Rad. Placed the evaporator where the glove box was and made trunking so AC air comes out of the two side dash air vents and the centre vents which allowed me to I kept the original heater box. Aftermarket AC is very doable and a must for us here in Aust.

I like the installation. That's a small evaporator that will fit in the glovebox. Have you any info on that? The neat thing is that it all looks standard and can be easily reversed if required. Currently (here in France) I only use the the car up until 12 midday. The next three days are up to 37 C so it will be quite limiting having no aircon!
Thanks Mike, the evaporator I used was 38x13x25cm in size (EV2216 model). Made brackets so it hangs off the car body so the Dash can be removed with the unit in place.
If you want there are more pictures of my installation in the post Stag Aftermarket AC System I did (sorry not sure how to attach a link)
