Window stuck in the down position

I imagine that the ROM got updated after someone called across the Drawing Office floor to "put a note in about using the correct short bolt in that position" which ended up as a blanket note to "use the correct short bolts".

I think the parts book is wrong here Roger. I’m 99% sure mine had a shorter one on both doors which had to be fitted (I think at the bottom). I’m sure before I did it I read about it in an old thread on here. I’ve got a door card off at the moment so might have a look later

Yes, sorry should have read the whole thread. I assume the correct part number for the shorter bolt is HU0703 1/4" UNF x 3/8" long. Has anyone actually measured the length of the shorter bolt?

Just goes to show memory and even corroborated memory can be wrong. Just took all 4 out individually and they are all the same length - 1/2"

Paul. Are they the originals? Mine are, and there is definitely one short on on either side. But I haven't measured them .

Yet another parts book error. Let the Forum know when you have found which one has to be shorter than the other three. It will save "Someone" having to take the door trim panel off to have a look.
Then those of us with parts books can amend them accordingly.

I'm working on the door of my second Stag and have found this one has the same size 4 bolts, the flat washer and 4 star like washers as compared to the other side which has 4 regular spring washers.

I'm sure Tony White who parts out Stags would be able to enlighten us.
