Last year the seal kits disappeared for many months.. there are kits available (31quiid) you may want to get one, you could always sell off what you don’t use.. but I would recommend doing the whole set.. if ones gone the rest are not far behind and getting that rack in and out is not fun

lol… probably because I bought 2 last time after waiting 9 months! In my defence shipping costs almost as much as the kit, 2 were not much more.

Panic bought lots of boxes of Weetabix last week, they are made in Canada!

This is off-topic (sorry), but I can add info on Weetabix. In Angus Hayton's book "The Vassal State" he talks about who owns the UK's favourite breakfast brands - he says Weetabix, Ready Brek, Alpen and others are owned by Post Holdings of Missouri. I guess Weetabix is made in various countries but the profits go to the US. The book is about the extent to which US corporations own and control the UK economy.

Seals only rebuild won’t work on a worn rack.

The rack has to be ground then chromed then ground.

This costs more than many want to pay.

Finding a place that offers this is the key.

Hi,I send 2024 to Mand P steering 2 steering racks (1 leaking) and the other one moving to much with the smallest movement of the steering wheel,they are really professional,after refurbishment no problems,so very happy with their service

I'm writing an article for my local club about racks. In USA, I spoke to a rack place. with hard chromium becoming a health hazard, shops are closing down. the shop tries not to polish too much, they use an epoxy to repair scratches in shafts. I eventually will share my article.
