It is ok to have the car on a spit with the boot floor removed

As the title says, is the rear end strong enough with the boot floor removed to have it on the spit,

I would weld temporary box section triangular braces between the lock panel and the wheel arch on each side before taking out the boot floor.

Boot floor is already out, but I have supported the weight with a jack before I removed it, you can see at bottom right of photo, will weld some supports as you suggested if I need to flip it, would be easier to work on if I can flip it, but think I can manage in the position its in, lots wrong with the back end than needs fixing

Ditto mole42, thats how I did mine. I used the bumper bolt holes to mount the spit and took braces from then to the wheel arches.
