Hello all,
Last week on the way home my warning buzzer on the header tank went beserk with a constant, nerving sound. When I looked into the engine bay I saw coolant splashing out near the rhs head - quite like 15 years ago when I tried to drive the Stag from Nottingham to Germany and both head gaskets blew.
Great relief today! It wasn't the cylinder head gaskets after all. A radiator hose was leaking so badly that you would have thought the water was gushing out of the head gasket. This could today be repaired with little effort and using my own resources. Thank goodness! Now the subject of "selling" is off the table and driving pleasure is back on the agenda.
Best regards, Dieter.
