My hardtop is on - it's that time of year again. I have the rear screen nicely fitted and watertight, but I'm b*gg*red if I can get the stainless trim on. I managed the windcreen trim with little difficulty, but the tool I made for that is way too big for the rear screen trim. Has anyone an idea of what the proper tool looks like?

Richard,
I've done it a couple of times now using cord about 3mm diameter. Stuff the cord under the flap then introduce the trim starting with one of the upper curved sections. When you have one section in place, secure it with masking tape before doing the next one. Then do the bottom, straighter sections, secure with screws each end. Finally, the joining trim, then beer!Dave

Difficult when the suppliers only list one type and I'm fairly certain they are the only type available. Yes, I agree we need to keep the parts suppliers aware of the issues, but as said elsewhere, not many manufacturers are going to bother about a small part that sells in tens, not thousands and can be made to work with a bit of ingenuity.Originally posted by Lingen View PostMole.
Why not send them back for a full refund, and ask for the correct ones? We need to keep suppliers up to the mark rather than having to modify what they incorrectly supply!
