Hi Guys i tock my car to work with me today but to came on the back of a AA truckthe problem is the car will run for a short time and then cut out when it comes to a hill or when it gets warm i have renew the coil and the fuel pumpno change if you pull the choke out it will start but then will died please help as i am ment to be taking the car to a show this weekend.

is it the right coil u put on? with a ballast resistor?
have u had problems before that resulted in changing the coil and fuel pump?
what did the AA man say?
have you checked the points gap, and do you know that the capacitor inside the distributor is ok?

Is the inertia cut out switch Ok?
Are your rubber fuel hoses in good condition? I believe they can perish and collapse internally.

Sounds like a fuel problem check that you are getting fuel up to the carbs and enough Why did you change out the parts.
If you can eliminate the pump and fuel delivery ie enough of it and the pressure then check that you are getting the same through the filter. Make sure the pump stays running with the ignition in the run position an electrical problem in the system can cause the pump stop running. Eliminate one system at a time and write it down then do basic checks spark, coil lead, check distributor, check timing

if this is ok check youre float settings in the carbs and the little needle valve is not jammed shut.
