Hi running with 13lb cap on Mk1 Stag, seems to be passing a bit would a20lb,be ok sometimes coolant not returned to rad have to do it manually,Thanks Guys

Hiya Doug, welcome, sit a while, make yourself comfortable, it's a good place to be.
First, are you sure you have a Mk1 cooling system ? Is the pressure cap on top of the rad, or on the expansion bottle ? If on the radiator it's Mk1, on the expansion bottle, Mk2. Many owners converted the earlier cars, it's not an issue providing you know.

Hi Martin thanks for reply it is Mk1 Cap on Rad, had head gass check today garage reported head gaskets test ok suggested I may have Overfilled rad.,FITTED VENT TEE FILLED TILL COOLANT TO TOPThought this was ok Regards DougComment
