10-01-2012 21;18;39.jpgWhilst clearing out the garage where i,m ging to restore my stag i came across a book CARS THAT TIME FORGOT ! giles chapman here is the tickford stag !!!
I might re create it lol i would most prob be banned from the soc
Regards edd , ps when i get time i will scan more cars if people are interested in a lambo type aston martin that looks like it was made of carboard boxes !

It has the V8 MK3 bonnet bulge and a V8 Vantage front spoiler and front wheel arches and what look like BBS alloys,I personally quite like it.....A MK4 bonnet bulge would be prettier. All those extras would be hand made and cost accordingly,I need a bigger money tree obviously!

          Does the Tickford Stag survive?

Around that time, Tickford specced-up several cars including a Metro, Capri and even an MGB (when they were bidding to try and save MG)

          Regards

Yes it does. It featured in (IIRC) Triumph World last year and there's also a section on the DVD 'Michelotti's Materpiece' about it.

I believe the owner wishes to remain anonymous and the car doesn't appear very often.

            Cheers

It seems that this garage serviced the Tickford Stag http://www.enginuity.co.uk/Gallery.aspx

They would - Tony Hart built the mechanical side of it. IIRC he worked for Aston Martin/Tickford at one time in the past.

According to DVLA and ASKMID it is Taxed (Nov 2012) and insured. so yes it survives and apparently "on the road"

Ref the photos of the Enginuity Rolling Road Day, did anyone comment on the irony of Tony Hart's Stag bearing trade plates with the letters 'MG'?

The 'WEE' Stag used to belong to a Devon member when it was French Blue with 2 large additional spotlights, as on page P119 of Triumph Stag by Andrew Moreland.
