I enjoyed the slow return back from boy racer spec, but didnt like the revolutions instead of ford steels or alloys.
My biggest regret whilst watching was remembering not dragging the white & blue striped poorly RS2000 mk 1 home to my parents when I was 19......I paid 50 quid for it in 1986 PV? ???M.....doh.
Reason :- parents were 'anti-cars on drive' & the clutch was badly stuck.
Even if I'd left it with no further work it'd be better than any pension performance I've got...... and apart from a stag, a white RS 2000 Mk1 is the second realistic choice of classic for me.
Unrealistics :- Muria, DBS, Austin 7 Rubber Duck, Plymouth Roadrunner, Riley special racer, DS23, Chevron race car, Brabham BT, the list goes on!
Oh well!
all it needed was a clutch or freeing off, battery, welding & a pinto blue top air-cleaner, which I bought for it
