Forum Members. I said it was going to be the last post but Milothedog changed my mind with his comments. He don't never have a good word to say about anybody. He has a bw 35 and the switch has large spades on so the wires can be pulled off easy. The bw65 switch has 4 spades coming out at the top i said cut the wires not the spades .I cut my wires 6in from the spades and put 4 connectors .on the wires the same as triumph used .So they can be put to together when you put it back.If you have had any experiences with taking the 65 switch off and the spades pulled out and you had to buy a new one please post it.I try and help members the best I can not like Milothedog. Now I expect he will reply but not in a nice way .Derek Hicks

Just as the forum was going so well!
I wasn't going too get involved with this one but hey ho...............I will jump to Milothedog's defence here, your comments Derek are very unfair, Milo has helped probably/possibly more members on here than anyone apart from Russ and a few others, they know who they are.
It's comments like this that made Ian leave the forum in the first place and we have only just got him back!
When Milo left this forum any member always had the invitation to pm Milo or even phone him, he is that helpful, he came to my house for a whole day to sort out my electrics and I do not live near him! He didn't want any remuneration just happy to help me.
He is a highly skilled mechanic and at one time had 25 apprentices under him, how many have you had and you criticise him - very unjust just because he didn't agree with you.
No wonder members don't post much on here any more or have gone over to face book stag site and offer wrong or bad advice.
I know who I would rather listen to!I only do what the voices in my wifes head tell me to do!

blimey hope it isnt all about to kick off again
I could understand cutting the wires if the switch were completely inaccessible but it isnt.
I could understand being careful when pulling the wires off the switch so as not to pull the spades out of the unit. however the unit could be disassembled and repaired fairly easily.
the switch should be able to be removed from the shaft and then adjusted such that the wires be pulled off without further damaging the switch. this isnt rocket science
anyway I am off back into the workshop as I cut the loom either side of the indurcator switch so as not to damage the multiconnectorStags and Range Rover Classics - I must be a loony

It's easier to link it to the original thread for continuity. https://socforum.com/forum/forum/sta...hibitor-switchWise men ignore the advice of fools, but fools ignore the advice of wise men sigpic
