Thanks unfortunately in the lock plates behind the B post it seems the inserts are held in a different way with very small tabs. i have tried to bend these tabs up but am afraid to exert to much force and snap them off.

Ah, not the header rail ones! I don't remember how the 'B' post ones are fixed, I took mine off, looked at them and put them back on.

Hi Managed it by using thin bladed small screwdriver and levering insert gentlyfrom upper side of aperture.

Drove to Tewksbury classic car show ,stag was great but the show is tomorrow

Looked at the trim at the back of the car. It's not been put back on correctly by the body shop. The clips are different shapes! Which should they be and how do they fix on?

Went to the local fair at Creech Manor. Started off with top down. Halfway there had to stop to put the hood up. Funny how you forget how to do it if the hood has been down all summer.
Arrived at Creech Manor to find we were the Stag present. Lots of Morgan's, a 1960s Merc Sel 190, and a 1927.
Then drove on to Holmes garden centre where the Wessex car preservation society had a meet. Nice turn out. Smart TR5, 2 Rover P5bs, Daimler Sovereign (early XJ 6 body) MGA amongst others.
Drove home in the rain when I noticed gaps in the seals above the window frames. Oh dear. Nonetheless great to be on the road. Car safely back in garage, shammied down and dehumidifier operating.

Replaced ARB drop inks (polyurethane), front wheel bearings & track rod ends in preparation for a MOT retest on Monday after it has been re-tracked.

Had a new seal fitted to the front windscreen purchased from COH Baines and fitted by a competant guy called Steve Nightingale from Car Glass West Midlands

Passed MOT, no advisories but then It's only done 78 miles since last one, so no surprise!

Toured through Port Glasgow, Greenock & down to Largs, nice view of the Waverly steamer tied up at Largs, Over the hill to Kilbirnie then the back roads home to Bridge of Weir,

Changed the insides of my voltage regulator for an electronic one (29p from Maplins) keeping the original case and instantly curing my high-reading temperature gauge. Chuffed!
