really good news is that Mrs thinks it’s a great car (“much nicer than the red one” - a Vitesse!), so I guess we’ll be doing more of that. Result!

I took a bit of a risk, and drove mine to Cirencester & back - 120 odd miles. Why the risk I hear you ask? Because he has a leaking core plug, which (in my mind anyway) is just itching to blow out, and he has low oil pressure. But a mate said to stop being a wimp & just drive the bloody thing, which I did, and really enjoyed it. That’s 4times further than it’s ever been since I’ve owned it - 18 months. I’m ashamed of myself!

Drove from Bristol to Moulsford near Oxford and back for a trade association meeting. Glorious top-down motoring in the Stag as it's meant to be.
Might have been copped by a mobile speed camera as I left Bristol, I'm sure I was very close to the 50mph speed limit....Richard

Yet again mine was used for transportation. This time a 2.5m length of kitchen worktop from our new IKEA to my daughter’s house 10 miles away.

I Moved my Stag (well most of it!) From one part of the attic to another.. It was sitting in the area above the living room where there is 2x6 Joists and the thought of adding the suspension was making me nervous, so now its over the Garage where the joists are 2x10.. Now I can watch TV without a care..
This of course means that to get it there I have carried it all upstairs, Something I do NOT do when SWMBO is at home!!
Here it is, aside from the bare body-shell and the engine..

Keeping your car in the loft of a Bungalow has its drawbacks, with access to the whole of the the house from a hatch in the garage it seemed like the perfect solution to those storage problems until :-
We had an oil leak thru the bedroom ceiling, I now know that, although drained, it is not a good idea to store one's gearbox vertically above your bedroom, tried every sort of barrier paint to no avail. In the end had to cut out the section of ceiling and replace / replaster it!!!
