How's the band going?

Removed both front wheels and cleaned mud and sh*te from the wheel arches and suspension. (MOT next week, can't present it with a dirty undercarriage). Then a 20-mile round trip to the golf club to sort out some admin. Speedo clicked over to 99,000 on the way home.
This evening had a 35-mile round trip to our monthly Area N&N which was well attended by local members and Lesley and Roger Phillips who happened to be in the area. Two Stags in the car park - both Carmine. One c/w hard top and mine toplessDave

My turn - Got my repaired petrol tank back from the garage - they had done a really good job of it,
and with the help of a friend and neighbour refitted it into the car. Put some petrol in and tomorrow will look to see that there have been no overnight leaks.
Can't start the car as I am still minus an alternator, but the same garage is trying to find me a suitable new one, as the old one has now been deemed unrepairable - it was only 4 years old.

Checked out the resilence of recovery from combined tennis/ golf elbow and polished the front of the car down to the pinstripes in readiness for Drive-It day. Tomorrow will tell, but the car is coming up nice.
I need a dry day to do the rest to get good space and light on the back n sides, and to get photos for Agreed Value insurance.White 1976 build ("Mk2") only a few mods
