Replaced the old coil HT lead with a new one, hoping the hesitation under load would go away. It didn't, so made a quick return to the garage for a rethink.

Thought I'd share the joy of looking at the content of my drive, just before the new addition arrives in the next week to take even more space up

The car might get first dibs on the shiraz if it would fix things.

Had a day off to wait for the boiler repair man (I don't fix boilers) and managed to get the rebuild off my fuel pump done - bought the kit from LD about two years ago and only after "SAL" decided to embarrass me on Saturday by cutting out 3 times once by a road islandI decided it was time!
Complete SU kit dead easy to get the old one apart and fit the new seals, points etc., and now it works with a good and healthy tick - If your pump is an SU one and knackered get the kit and DIY, you'll have a proper pump that will last for years.

i know what you mean about fitting it on your own,i know it takes a bit longer, but i put the rear suspension back diff first, then the subframe arms etc

The only thing I can suggest is maybe adjusting the steering column, just slightly.
