I've had a tiny weep from the radiator filler neck that K-seal hasn't had any effect on. It was too slight to be worth taking the radiator out and I didn't fancy lighting a gas torch under the bonnet so I warmed up a nice large electric soldering iron. I couldn't get to the site with a wire brush so I grabbed a chunk of steel wool but got it too close to the bank of relays I recently fitted to the panel above the old coolant tank for my H4 headlights. The pretty fireworks from the burning steel wool were easily extinguished with no damage to car or owner and I was able to smear enough solder onto the joint to seal it up - for now at least!
Maybe this should have been in the silliest thing I have done thread - but it's not!74 manual o/d, white with shadow blue. Datsun axles, Sierra HT.

Reminds me of when I visited a transformer manufacturer in Italy to do factory acceptance tests. They gave me a guided tour - at the coil winding shop, saw guys guiding the wire as it fed into the winding "lathe". They all had protective gloves which at first impressed me, then one guy turned round and his thumb, first & second finger pads were completely worn away. The guys reckoned that this gave them a better feel (and I guess most blokes on here will appreciate that!)White 1976 build ("Mk2") only a few mods

image.jpgBack to DIY today, then going to start making plans for the latest acquisition. My 14 yr old son wanted the Vitesse as his first car, partly because Hannah got the MG and more because he is like his old man, a Triumph fan.
As the Vitesse is a 2 litre, insuring a young lad would be virtually impossible so have picked this up as a solution that suits us all.... as usual, loads of rust to deal with, but we have a couple of years and will be a great father/son project... must get my hands on a rollover spit (pun not intended)
